Employment

Audience Services Manager (10hrs/week)

Posted July 14, 2025

Blue Heron is engaged in the exploration of Renaissance and medieval vocal music, putting the study of original sources in the service of vivid live performance. We present a concert series in Harvard Square, and a catalog of fifteen recordings is available on the Blue Heron label.

We seek an energetic, flexible, independent, and detail-oriented candidate to serve as Audience Services Manager, joining our small but mighty team of three. This is a year-round, part-time position averaging 10 hours/week, reporting to the General Manager.

The primary functions of this position are to:

  • Lead the Blue Heron Box Office—including all ticket and subscription sales—and provide exemplary customer service to our patrons in person and via phone/email.
  • Serve as in-house knowledge base for AudienceView CRM, through which we process all tickets and donations.
  • Serve as Front of House at all concerts, including coordinating, training, and managing our team of volunteer ushers.
  • Manage merchandise and CD sales at concerts and fulfill online orders.

Attendance at all Blue Heron concerts & events is required. (Please view our 2025-2026 Cambridge concert season here.) In the summer months, when box office work is light, the Audience Services Manager partners with our General Manager on administrative projects in development, marketing, or communications. This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of a small arts organization.
