Music by Guillaume de Machaut, Jacob Senleches & others, including a complex of interrelated pieces connecting Machaut’s Remede de Fortune (c. 1340) to a handful of works in the hypnotic, late 14th-century style known as the Ars subtilior via the anonymous rondeau Esperance.
