Aaron Sheehan has established himself as one of the leading American tenors of his generation, equally comfortable in oratorio and chamber music as on the opera stage. In 2015 he won a Grammy Award (Best Opera Recording) for a disc of Charpentier with the Boston Early Music Festival. His singing has taken him to many festivals and venues around the world, including Tanglewood, Lincoln Center, the New Zealand Arts Festival, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Théatre des Champs-Elysées, Sans-Souci Palace, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Royal Opera of Versailles. He has performed with Blue Heron, the Green Mountain Project, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, the Handel & Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Seattle Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Boston Early Music Festival, Bach Collegium San Diego, Tragicomedia, the Folger Consort, Les Voix Baroques, and many other ensembles. He is on the faculty of Boston University.
