Blue Heron has released five CDs of the Peterhouse repertoire, copied c. 1540 for Canterbury Cathedral, but there is much more wonderful music to explore in this large neglected collection. This season’s program features our premiere performance of the splended Missa Veni sancte spiritus by Richard Pygott, whose amazing Salve regina appears on volume 2 of the 5-CD set.
This program will also be offered in Cambridge on Blue Heron’s 2017-18 home subscription series, on Saturday, February 3.
